Senator Kamala Harris (D., Calif.) is expected to return to the Hamptons this weekend to meet with influential Democratic operatives and donors, fostering speculation that she will run for the U.S. presidency in 2020.

According to Page Six, Harris is scheduled to meet privately with Hollywood film producer Harvey Weinstein and his wife Georgina Chapman, then with a group in Bridgehampton that will include former ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice, Citigroup’s Ray McGuire, and PepsiCo’s Tony West.

Harris will attend a dinner Friday evening with many guests, including Sen. Cory Booker (D.-N.J.) and former U.S. attorney general Eric Holder.

The senator is slated to attend a reception for 300 people on Saturday at the East Hampton home of her friend, Infor CEO Charles E. Phillips, and a fundraiser at the home of Lisa Rosenblum.

Harris is also expected to appear at the Hamptons home of Michael Kempner of the public relations firm MWWPR.

Regarding Harris’ schedule, a source told Page Six, “She’s on overdrive. It’s not just about the money … that’s the easy part for her. She wants to meet the influential.”

Sean Clegg, Harris’ strategist, said, “Kamala Harris’ singular focus is representing California in the U.S. Senate and helping take back the House and Senate [for Democrats]. This trip is about the fight for ‘18, period, end of sentence.”

Last weekend, Harris was also in the Hamptons, meeting on Saturday with Hillary Clinton’s biggest donors.

The Washington Free Beacon reported that Harris has hired Revolution Messaging LLC, the online media firm that promoted Sen. Bernie Sanders (I.-Vt.) during his presidential bid.

“Democratic Sen. Kamala Harris (Calif.) has paid the online media firm that helped propel Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders during his dark horse run for the 2016 Democratic primary more than $400,000 this year, filings show.

“Revolution Messaging LLC, a Washington, D.C.-based progressive online media firm founded by Scott Goodstein, an online director for Obama for America in 2008, was instrumental in helping push Sanders’s message out and raise his profile during his race against Hillary Clinton by creating his digital and branding strategy.”

All signs are pointing to a possible presidential run for Harris, but Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D., Calif.) put a damper on the excitement when remarking on Harris’ viability as a presidential contender in 2020. “She just got here,” Feinstein said. “What she should do is concentrate on being a good, and possibly a great, United States senator. The rest will either happen or not happen.”

Harris was elected to the Senate in November 2016.
